Outer packaging (Box):
Our box is made from FSC-certified, biodegradable paper. If your local council accepts compostable packaging, simply pop it in your compost bin. If not, you can dispose of it in your general waste - it will still break down more safely than plastic alternatives.
Wrapper:
Our wrappers are made from plant based biodegradable film. If your local council accepts compostable packaging, you can pop them in the compost bin. If not, they’ll still break down more safely in general waste than plastic alternatives.
Pads:
Our pads are made from natural materials, but due to hygiene reasons, they should be wrapped (in tissue or their wrapper) and placed in the general waste bin. They are not flushable and should never be disposed of down the toilet.

As a brand by women, for women, we’re passionate about bringing the wisdom of Ayurveda and the power of natural materials into modern wellness. luum began from our own experiences with health, which led us to look beyond conventional products and rediscover the natural alternatives our ancestors trusted - made with materials that are kinder to our bodies and the planet. Hemp stood out. One of the world’s most sustainable plants, hemp has been valued in Ayurveda for centuries and is known as Vijaya, meaning “god /winning” herb.
With its rich heritage and natural properties, we knew hemp belonged at the heart of our period care. So we created luum sanitary pads - combining hemp with organic cotton to offer women a more natural, considered way to experience their period.
